every day from may 7, 2021 through may 15, 2022 i made a drawing using only a sharpie marker (all roughly 8 x 10 inches). the intention was to focus on form, without the use of color or shading. being very comfortable with the control and nuances of a ball point pen, the prospect of drawing with a felt tipped marker felt daunting. i used only one standard sized sharpie at a time, embracing the transition from a new, full, sharp marker to an empty dull marker. once a marker ran out i would exchange it for a new one. the resulting 373 drawings create a single unified piece. the drawings are shown in chronological order from oldest to newest, left to right and top to bottom
